KJZZ is the Arizona home for National Public Radio broadcasts. Each night, beginning at 7:00 p.m., KJZZ plays a great variety of jazz. We encourage anyone who appreciates jazz to support KJZZ by tuning in to 91.5 FM or listening to their live streaming audio.AAJE is especially thankful to host Blaise Lantana for her broadcasts on Feb. 13 and 14, 2006 when her playlist focused on Arizona Jazz Artists, some of whom are AAJE members.

Jazz is a vibrant part of Tucson life and the Tucson Jazz Society plays a large part in that thriving success. They sponsor many artist performances as well as host a Sunday night jam session. They organize Primavera, the world's longest continuously running festival honoring women in jazz. The Tucson Jazz Society founded and manages Jazz Werks, an educational program consisting of several high school and middle school big bands and combos. They also sponser the Tucson Jazz Orchestra to perform publicly and at educational clinics. AAJE was honored to have the TJO perform at the December 2006 AAJE Jazz Institute held at Catalina Foothills High School. |
